With just a few set-up actions, you'll be able to move entire emails into the same directory for easy reading and replying.

Outlook allows you to create rules for the emails you send and receive. Rule is a great feature of Outlook automation. It helps you to control and sort your email logically.

Besides, Outlook also has a handy but very little feature mentioned: Quick Steps. This feature will cause Outlook to automatically perform actions such as email migration or copying. Using Quick Steps, you can move entire emails into a certain folder in just one click.

This tip will help you create a Quick Step to move emails out of your Inbox and put them in a dedicated dedicated folder called Today. How to create this Quick Step is very simple and you can run it many times a day.

Below is the detailed implementation steps provided by AddictiveTips.

By default, Outlook will split email into Inbox into groups sorted by date, such as Today, Yesterday, and Last week. With this arrangement, it's easy to mistake the email you received today and yesterday. The reason is that Today and Yesterday groups are all on the same Inbox. We will take advantage of these groups to migrate all new emails to a folder named Today through the Quick Steps tool.

To get started, open Outlook. At the Home tab , click the Create New button from the Quick Steps toolbox.

A window will open allowing you to configure a new Quick Step. Name the Quick Step. In case you do not name it, Outlook will get the name from the behavior you set up for the Quick Step.
Open the Actions drop-down menu and select Move to folder from the list of options. Outlook will ask you to choose an existing directory or create a new directory. Create a new folder by selecting Other Folder and name it Today.

Under Optional is also on this window, you can assign shortcut keys to Quick Step Quick. Click the Finish button and you are done creating the new Quick Step.

Return to Outlook and collapse Today's group . Check the box so that it is blue as shown below. When you select the entire Today group in a collapsed state, all emails within it will be selected.

Now run the Quick Step created by clicking on its name in the Quick Steps toolbox or pressing the shortcut you assigned it. All emails you receive today will be moved to the Today folder you created. Now you will no longer be confused between new and old emails because all new emails are already in the Today folder.

You can create another Quick Step to delete all emails from the Today folder . This will ensure that the Today directoryis always empty and ready for new email groups at the end of your work day.

You can create a quick step to move all the emails you receive today to the new folder. You can run Quick Step several times a day and arrange them as soon as they arrive at your inbox.

This trick will be useless if you do not clean the Today folder at the end of each day. As a result, you only get a folder filled with email.
