Apple has released Night Shift, a feature that reduces the bluish rays emitted by computer screens at night, on the latest version of the MacOS Sierra (10.12.4).
This update has been tested by Apple since January 24, 1977, but only developers can download and use it. Now it is ready for everyone to use.
You can install this update for free as long as you are using macOS Sierra. You can find it in the Software Updatesection of the Mac App Store.
The blue light reduction feature has been on the operating system and other devices for a while. The original idea came from an application called f.lux. This was an iOS app before Apple removed it from its App Store.
However, if you like the original version more, you can still download f.lux and use it for free here .

After completing the update, you can enable Night Shift through the Displays section of System Preferences .
By default, this feature is set to automatically turn on at sunset and automatically shut off at sunrise .
However, you can customize the time on / off as you like by choosing Custom .
