5x optical zoom will be a new weapon in the mobile market Oppo.

Battle for control of the smartphone market in China is fierce equally what is happening in America between Apple and Samsung or Samsung and LG in Korea. The difference is that the Chinese market has its own rules by managers set out along with the presence of so many domestic brands.

Charts manufacturers leading smartphones in China (determined by revenue or sales) tend to change every week. A few years ago, Xiaomi head and Western media called "Chinese Apple". However, the current Xiaomi has not been surpassed by two other brands that come 3. Its leading position as the rotating between Huawei and Oppo.

Chinese brands are any different? They often identify a specific feature on smartphones and focus on that. Oppo, it sold more phones in China last year developing a 5x optical zoom technology, and if they truly successful, there will be a big change in the fight over the phone camera.
You should note that the optical zoom is a true zoom rather than using algorithms such as digital zoom technology. The advantage of this technology is that it will zoom for sharp quality than digital zoom.
And more interesting when we know that the technology was brought to a point very close to the actual application.Oppo introduce this technology at Mobile World Congress last month. This technology uses two cameras (Oppo called "Dual Camera Zoom"), one of which is angled, inside the phone. Oppo says the system uses a series of sensors to guide light through a lens on convex lens, then slide to a second camera image facing the back of the phone camera.
This is a complex setup and Oppo described by photos below.
With this setting, the camera can zoom in 5 times the picture quality does not change. Below is an image taken from video ads Oppo.

And here is the full video.

However, Oppo has not revealed the time of this technology optical zoom available on smart phones theirs.
