In order to work faster and more efficiently, you should try the Preview Pane Preview Frame.
Microsoft Outlook and the Mail app on Windows 10 have a very useful feature, the Preview Pane. The User Interface (UI) will be divided into three columns: Inbox / Folder, Mailbox / Mailbox List, and Preview Frame. When you select an email from the email list, its content will be displayed on the Preview Frame.
Many desktop email clients have similar user interfaces. Thunderbird and the Mail app on macOS are no exception.
If you prefer this particular Layout but prefer to have it on the Gmail web version, you can enable it on Gmail. To enable the Gmail Preview Frame, you need to enable a feature called the Preview Pane. Below, AddictiveTips will show you how.
First, you open Gmail on a web browser. Click the saw wheel icon located underneath your avatar and select Settings from the popup menu.
Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page and then back to your inbox.
At this point, your mailbox has not changed. The Preview Pane function has been opened but it needs to be activated.
Now, you look up at the top right corner of the mailbox. There, you'll see a new down arrow button next to the serrated wheel button. Click this button and select Vertical Split .
Your mailbox will be divided into 3 columns: the first column is your Inbox, Starred, Important ...; The second column is a list of correspondents with the mailbox of your choice in the first column; The third column is Preview Pane. Please select an email from the second column and you can preview its contents in this Preview Frame.
The Vertical Split layout is similar to the layout in Microsoft Outlook and the Mail app. If you like the layout Horizontal Split as on Thunderbird, you also press the button above and select the Horizontal Split .
The Gmail Preview Frame does not affect email download speeds. It also does not affect the keyboard shortcut (Keyboard Shorcut) of the email application coming from Google. In particular, you can still use the up / down arrow keys to move to the next email and previous email.
