The Galaxy S8 is sure to be one of the most anticipated smartphones this year. However, is there any excuse for us to overlook this attractive flagship of Samsung.

On March 29, Samsung will introduce their latest high-end smartphone, the Galaxy S8, but I will not buy it, " said Sean Hollister, a spokesperson for Cnet. Here is an article by Sean Hollister about his point of view when making the decision, VnReview translates it for you to read the reference.
First of all, it is important to confirm that my reasons are not as simple as you are thinking:
- I'm not afraid of the Galaxy S8 explode because Samsung is serious about quality control.
- I'm not disappointed with the leaked images and specifications of the Galaxy S8. Honestly, it's great.
- I do not like other smartphone brands like LG, Moto or Apple than Samsung.
- I was not afraid of the broken glass back when dropped.
The truth is I bought the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 because I thought it was the best smartphone at the time of launch with the best design, best camera and best configuration. I think the Galaxy S8 will continue to be the best smartphone at the moment.
However, what I want is not just a good smartphone at the time of launch. I want a smartphone that will work well for a long time. And the Galaxy S7 probably is not such a smartphone.
After a year of sticking with the Galaxy S7, here are five reasons to skip the upcoming Galaxy S8:
Pin
After a year of use, the battery on my Galaxy S7 can never be used all day. If the Galaxy S7 had 30% battery life during lunch breaks and I did not charge it during the afternoon work hours, I would not have the battery to use the machine before dinner.
The fact is that the battery life of smartphones always decreases over time. However, I feel that the speed reduction of the Galaxy S7 slightly faster than normal.
I tried to remove the app, but the Galaxy S7's battery continued to drop sharply no matter what I tried.
Unfortunately, the main reason is that I left the Galaxy S6 to buy the Galaxy S7. And I will not repeat this mistake again with the Galaxy S8.
Speed

After a year of use, I can still claim the Galaxy S7 is the best smartphone in the world. Not only for the quality of photos but also because of the speed so that I can take a photo quickly. Just double click on the Home button and I was ready to take a picture.
However, there is always a certain delay before I can get into the camera app. The speed of the Galaxy S7 has dropped from a year ago.
Again, I tried removing all applications because thought could solve the problem. I also tried reinstalling the machine back to factory reset and updating to Android 7.0. However, nothing can make my Galaxy S7 as fast as it was before. And I'm not the only tech writer who sees this on Samsung's smartphone.
In most cases, my Galaxy S7 is still fast enough to use. However, sometimes the machine freezes for 2 seconds when I type the touchpad or view the notifications.
The manufacturer's built-in software (bloatware)

Bloatware is the term used in both the computer and mobile fields. Understands simply, bloatware is the application that is added to the device that the device manufacturer implements with the operating system.
I thought the main culprit for the battery life and speed of the Galaxy S7 decrease rapidly over time is the software installed by Samsung, bloatware.
I wrote a review showing that the Google Nexus 5 phone is nearly as efficient as the Galaxy S6, despite its poorer configuration. The reason is that Google does not install too many unnecessary applications into smartphones like Samsung. I have no reason to use Samsung's web browser, calendar, or voice assistant when the Google version is better.
With the recent update to Android 7.0, Samsung has begun to refrain from hobbying adding new applications. The Galaxy S7 currently has an odd feature called Performance Mode, which is intended only to reduce the resolution of the screen.
Here is a short list of Samsung applications and features that I never touched, and you might as well:
- Samsung web browser.
- Samsung email application.
- Samsung Calendar (Samsung's calendar application).
- Samsung App Store (Samsung application store).
- Samsung Gallery (Samsung library application).
- S Health.
- S Voice.
- Samsung +.
- Samsung Smart Stay.
- Samsung Cloud.
- Samsung Pass.
- Samsung Gear
- Always on Display.
- Multi Window Multi Windows mode.
- Video Enhancer.
- Performance Mode.
Honestly, even Samsung's highly regarded proprietary applications such as Samsung Pay or Samsung Gear VR are not really necessary for normal users. Especially the Samsung Gear VR application always makes the Galaxy S7 too hot to use.
Limited home network
Note that this is only true for those using the S7 in the US.
I bought the unlocked Galaxy S7 at T-Mobile (a big US network operator) so I could change the various carriers to my liking. However, then I quickly realized that Samsung released for each operator a separate version of Galaxy S7. This has caused my Galaxy S7 to lack support for some LTE frequency bands and make the switch to the network difficult.
Besides, T-Mobile's customer care regime makes me feel unhappy at all. So being unable to switch to another network really makes me feel uncomfortable.

Software updates

I do not feel reluctant to say that Samsung and its partners are always late in updating the software. I just updated Android 7.0 Nougat in March. However, if I use Nexus 5P or Google Nexus 6P, I have been updating Android 7.0 from 7 months ago.
In addition, it's hard to get excited about Android N when Google started announcing Android O last month.
