The US military has ordered nearly 10,000 of the Getac F110 G3 tablets running Windows 10.
According to NeoWin , the US Army's Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) has ordered 9,783 Getac F110 G3 tablet PCs. This order includes a dock charging the tablet, all done after a thorough military inspection.
Scott Shainman, president of Getac said: " In two years, Getac has worked with GCSS-Army, to ensure compatibility with the F110 their networks and participate in group meetings taking place with both parties Last but not least, the robust design of F110 and the advanced features that make Getac's products make a difference and this is why they partner with us . "
Getac F110 G3 runs Windows 10 Professional and has many anti-vibration features. Other technical features include:

- 4GB of RAM (expandable to 16GB), up to 1 TB of SSD memory
- 11.6 inch LED screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels
- Machine equipped with NFC / RFID / smart card reader, bar code reader, fingerprint scanner
- Supports GPS, LTE 4G, 802.11ac, Bluetooth connectivity
- The machine is equipped with two batteries Li-Ion (2160 mAh) can replace the heater with a battery life of about 12 hours.
The US Air Force has recently revealed plans to purchase some Microsoft HoloLens devices to modernize its forces. The Royal Australian Air Force is testing out Microsoft devices for future deployment.
